Methodology

The calculation is deterministic, local, bounded, and sourced entirely from values the visitor supplies.

  1. 01

    Your observation

    Record P, M, and T

P is the current whole-number queue position. M is how many positions the queue advanced between two readings. T is the elapsed time in minutes. Queueglass does not read these values from Minecraft or any remote service.

  2. 02

    Observed rate

    Divide movement by time

rate = M ÷ T positions per minute. Movement and duration must both be greater than zero so the result never relies on division by zero or an invented fallback rate.

  3. 03

    Range, not promise

    Apply the movement band

Baseline time is P ÷ rate. The earliest bound assumes movement becomes 25% faster:(P ÷ rate) ÷ 1.25. The conservative bound assumes movement becomes 25% slower:(P ÷ rate) ÷ 0.75. The ±25% band is a declared Queueglass assumption, not a measured property of 2b2t.

  4. 04

    Your uncertainty input

    Widen for reconnect risk

R is a visitor-entered percentage from 0 to 100. Only the conservative bound is multiplied by1 + 0.75 × R/100. This bounded heuristic does not claim that R is an observed probability. Sensitivity also shows movement 10% faster, 10% slower, and risk 10 points higher.

  5. 05

    Finite result

    Stop at 30 days

Every range and sensitivity bound is capped at 43,200 minutes. If a raw result exceeds that horizon, the interface says it was capped. A capped value is a model limit—not a forecast that the queue will take 30 days.

  6. 06

    Optional comparison

    Keep priority assumptions separate

A visitor may enter an assumed priority wait, a current price they verified, and monthly sessions. Queueglass reports baseline minutes saved and price per hour saved only when all three are present. No price or priority performance claim is built into the model.
